Mysore: The man-eater tiger which was trapped at H.D.Kote a couple of days ago, is presently recovering at the Mysore zoo.
The nine year old male tiger was found injured when it was trapped, possibly because it had hunted down a porcupine. It is learnt, the injured tiger had entered human habitat and targeted humans and cattle which it could easily pounce on when compared to other wild animals in the forest.
Zoo officer B.P.Ravi has informed that the thorns stuck in the mouth and various parts of the tiger would be removed through a surgery. He also said the animal may take a few more days to recover. It will then be released in the Bannerghatta National Park area, he said.
