Justice at last! Senior civil court for Somwarpet after 28 years

Somwarpet: Somwarpet town finally received some justice when the government sanctioned a senior civil and JMFC court. It brought down curtains on a 28-year-old prolonged battle by the local advocate union.

Disclosing the details, the advocates’ union president DK Thimmaiah thanked former district in-charge ministers Dinesh Gundu Rao, KJ George and A Manju along with advocates from the High Court Chandramouli, Aiyaaapa in appraising the Chief Minister the essence of a senior civil court in the town and getting the same sanctioned.

He also remembered the role of media academy president Ponnappa and former justice in HC, Huluvadi G Ramesh for their constructive role in getting the new court sanctioned.

The new court will be inaugurated by the HC administrative justice RB Boodhihal on October 1 at 11 am. Later, leading luminaries from the district and politicians will be in attendance in a program at Janaki convention hall in the town.

Those likely to take part include Congress state working president Dinesh Gundu Rao, HC justice AS Bopanna, District and sessions court judge Master RKGM Mahaswamiji, Law minister TB Jayachandra, District in-charge minister MR Seetharam, Minister A Manju, BJP local MLA M P Appachu Ranjan, BJP MP from Mysuru Pratap Simha, MLCs from the district Sunil Subramani and Veena Achaiah, HS Chandramouli and all the members of the Advocates’ union.
