Gonikoppala: The national level Jaycee Autocross organised at Begurkolli  here on Sunday May 6 was a thrilling experience for both the riders as well as the spectators.JCI Ponnampete Golden were the promoters of the event meant for four and two wheelers.

The Autocross was held in 12 categories viz Coorg Local Open, Two-Stroke Open, Four Stroke Open, Indian Open and Expert Class in  two-wheeler category, Coorg Local Open, 800cc, 1001-1400, 1401-1600cc, Ladies Class and altered jeep categories in four-wheeler section. Over 100 two-wheelers took part in the Autocross.

Circle Inspector Diwaker who inaugurated the event, said participation in an event was more important than winning. A participant should lay more stress on exhibiting his capabilities and talents, he said.

Mullengada Madhosh Poovaiah, President of JCI Zone 14,  Niran Monnappa, President of JCI Ponnampete Golden, Sanju Somaiah, Secretary,  Pullangada Natesh, Rally Director,  Keshav, Sales Manager of Mandovi Motors, Mysore,  Naveen, Manager of Mandovi Motors Gonikoppa and others were present.

Prizes were also awarded to the winners in various categories.
