Krishnarajapete : Pre-Monsoon showers  while bringing relief to the farming community, has also caused extensive damage to property in the region. The heavy rains that lashed the region almost flooded the KSRTC bus stand in the town, much to the inconvenience of the commuters.

The Chikkakere in the TMC limits  is overflowing due to heavy rains. The incessant showers accompanied by thunder and lightning also disrupted power ssupply throughout the taluk landing it in darkness.

In Bibachahalli, several appliances in the residences of Ramakrishnegowda and  Savitramma were  burnt due to lightning strike. Even cattle in their cattle shed died in the lightning strike. The total loss has been estimated at several lakhs of rupees.

The KSRTC  bus stand was converted into a lake due to the heavy rains and finally fire service personnel who rushed to the spot, facilitated free flow of water by breaking the  compound wall.

There are also reports of damage to the roofing of several houses in Rayasamudra, Kattaraghatta, BB Kavalu, Heraganahalli, Mavinakere, Rajenahalli and other areas.
