Mysuru: A rogue elephant that was responsible for the death of three people in Male Madeshwara Forest region was finally trapped on Friday, after three-day long operation.

Last week, the ferocious elephant had barged into Hanur area had destroyed houses, tractors and also trampled one man to death.
Last month the same rogue elephant had killed two persons in Ramapura area on Karnataka-Tamil Nadu border.
Following this, the forest officials initiated a search for the killer elephant with the help of tamed Dasara elephants-Arjun, Abhimanyu, Harsha and Krishna and after three-day long operation, it was finally trapped in Hongehalli of Ramapura village. It was tranquilised and later sent to Mathihalli elephant camp for taming.
