Mysore: The palace city is getting set for Dasara Utsav, while on the first stage; the training is under way for the tusker Arjun who will lead the mighty procession of Jumbos during Dasara Utsav.
The tuskers herd is being taken care royally at the Ambavilasa Palace compound. The tuskers are bathed in the mornings and evenings and taken for ride from the palace till Bannimantapa about 6 kilometers distance daily.
The training has begun for the grand Jumbo procession on Dasara Utsav, while another herd of tuskers will join the first herd. Meanwhile, the both herds will further undergo rigorous training.
The tuskers herd camping in palace grounds is being fed with nutritious food daily. The tusker Arjun who will lead Dasara Utsav carrying 750 kilograms of golden crown gets royal treatment.
The tuskers’ herds are fondly massaged by its handlers and assistants besides the training. It’s a delight to view this sight. The splendor of Dasara celebrations will be doubled in a few days.
