Mangalore:Dr.JS Sadananda, chairman of political science dept., Kuvempu University inaugurated the national seminar on EMERGING TRENDS IN INDIAN POLITICS, organized by dept. of Political Science at St. Agnes College auditorium on 6th of September today.
Dr. Sadanand in his inaugural address said,” the Indian politics is unique in its kind such that no one knows what exactly is happening in the system. The system will be encircling an issue and from nowhere we have a solution and no one knows where the solution has come from. It is one of the interesting system to do the study upon.”
Later he wished that two days seminar will be an enlightening one for the students and the intetrested.
The program was presided over by Dr.Sr. Prem Dsouza, principal of St. Agnes college. Dr. Prem congratulated the dept. of Political science for organizing this seminar. She said, ” We need to have a positive approach regarding the present political system. We should work at transforming our society and giving good governance. Hence being pro-active at every situation we should think about the future of our country and thus contribute for the betterment of it.”
The dignitaries honored the former student of the college Ms.Shvetha Rao,IES for securing the second rank in IES exam conducted by union public service commission.
HOD of political science department Mr.Chandrashekhar Marathe welcomed the gathering while secretary of Mangalore university political science teachers association Mr. Krishnamohana Shenoy rendered the vote of Thanks.
