Mysuru: In the wake of Badanavalu Sathyagraga in Nanjangud Taluk which seeks to promote a sustainable living style through encouraging small scale industries, Minister for Small Scale Industries, Sathish Jarkiholi expressed concern towards developing the small scale industries across the state, based on current market requirements here on Sunday.

The government has planned to introduce Industrial Electronics and Mechatronics in the GTTC’s to create employment based on current market conditions, the minister added.
His assurance came after the officials demanded in meeting that to introduce new courses including Industrial Electronics and Mechatronics as per requirements in industries. The officer said that it will cost about Rs 12 crores to provide all infrastructure.
The Minister for Small Scale Industries was speaking with media after conducting a general meeting with the concerned officials of the Department of Small Scale Industries and concerned district officials at Government Guest House here.
He expressed that the government intended to restart the industries that already downed their shutters, and convert them into productive units that produce goods and services that are currently required by the market. He also pointed out that the government has planned to encourage the industries that need support in the state. Responding to media queries, he said that the government is collecting information through an NGO to understand the current situation of small scale industries across the state and this information will be discussed in meeting which will be conducted on May 1, he explained.
