Mangaluru: On Sunday, April 12th, the Bajpe Police nabbed a 29-year-old interstate cattle thief who was involved in various theft cases that took place in Karnataka and Kerala.
 
The arrested person was identified as  Davood Hakim, a resident of Shanthigudde.  He is said to be the  mastermind behind various gangs who were involved in cattle theft in the region including Venur, Karkala, Bajpe, Puttur, Uppinangady and Bantwal.
 
Earlier the locals had staged protests demanding his arrest after a major cattle theft took place at farm houses of Punit Kumar, Sanath Kumar and Vidyadhar Hegde in Bajpe.
