Mysore: Mysore City Corporation (MCC) Commissioner Dr. C.G. Betsurmath has assured that wastes produced at Devaraja Market would be disposed on daily basis.
The Commissioner, who conducted a sudden inspection yesterday morning at Devaraja Market, was greeted with complaints from the traders at the market.

The traders, in their complaint to the Commissioner, said that animal wastes produced in the market were emanating foul smell and requested the Commissioner to take measures to dispose the waste daily.
Commissioner Dr. Betsurmath, who saw everything, assured the traders that wastes from both vegetable and meat markets would be disposed daily.
He said that garbage containers would be placed in Ane Sarot Street, Kotwal Ramaiah Street and other places where garbage is more and added that once the containers were full, it would be disposed immediately.
MCC Health Officers, MCC Zonal Officers, Environment Engineers accompanied MCC Commissioner during his inspection.
