Madikeri : Sitting MP from Mysore AH Vishwanath has made it clear that he will be  the party candidate from the constituency for the upcoming LS polls.

Speaking to reporters here, Vishwanath said the opposition parties were unnecessarily setting afloat rumours about Congress candidate for the Kodagu-Mysore constituency thereby creating confusion in the minds of the party workers.

He reacted so when his attention was drawn towards rumours that either Rahul Gandhi or Pramoda Devi Wodeyar of Mysore may contest from the constituency.

Pointing out that prestigious personalities generally prefer to contest from their home town itself, Vishwanath said in case of Pramoda Devi Wodeyar it has not yet been decided if she would be joining active  politics. As far as Rahul is concerned, he will be contesting from Amethi itself,   Vishwanath said.
