Mysuru: The rumours of possibilities of Revenue Minister Srinivas Prasad being axed from the State Cabinet has left his supporters in a state of discomfort. Reacting to the same, his supporters have said that if he is dropped from the cabinet then Mysuru will become another Madikeri. Srinivas Prasad is also the district incharge minister of Mysuru.

Congress leader Lakshmana in a press conference said that if the CM goes ahead with the plan, then various organisations will join hands to stage protest in front of CM’s residence.
“Since Srinivas Prasad became district minister various developmental works worth more than Rs 4,570 crores have been taken up across Mysuru district. For Mysuru City Corporation alone, Rs 500 crore has been released in last two years. For the past two years, various developmental works which includes drinking water, drainage, concreting of 8 roads, melapura project, sanctioning of Multi Specialty of Hospital and district hospital, Jayadeva Hospital, beautification of University of Mysore to the tune of Rs 90 crores have been taken up. Going by all these works we want Srinivas Prasad to be continued as district minister for two more years. Hence we request Congress high command which is led by Sonia Gandhi to retain Prasad,” said Lakshmana adding that he is confident of the taking decisions after enough thinking.
More than 150 people from various organizations took part in the meeting held at Jaladarshini Guest house. The members vouched Prasad because he has remained to be a honest, sincere, non-corrupt and hardworking persons throughout his 40-year-long political career.
