Mysuru: University of Mysore as part of its centenary celebration will be hosting four day international festival of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEMFest) at University of Mysore premises from October 17 to 20.

The four day event is being organized by Global STEM States and International STEM Alliance (ISA) is expected to attract more than hundreds of delegates from not only from across the country but also from various foreign countries to discuss innovation, education and training so that it aligns with the countries future scientific technological and economic development.
Addressing media persons Scot Campbell, Representative of Global STEM States, said that more than 1200 delegates from various countries including Australia, Canada, United States of America, Malaysia and also from India will be focusing on developing skills among students that can be used to not only solving the problems faced by the country but also exploit the opportunities to grow economically.
As part of the program, there will be keynote address from renowned speakers, exhibits from institutions, corporates and R and Ds. Apart from this there will be mobile planetarium, robotic competition, demonstration of drones, game and app developers are some of the attractions. KS Rangappa, Vice Chancellor, UOM who also spoke on the occasion said that the conference will help government to take measures to improve quality education and also serve as platform for vice chancellors to come together and debate on the education system.
