Dalit bodies continue protest against Baba Ramdev remarks

Mysore : Protests by Dalit organisations continued in the city even on Saturday May 3 opposing the alleged derogatory remarks made by Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev against Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi and Dalits.

The Dalita Sangharsha Samithi and the Karnataka Dalita Vedike staged protests in front of the DC office. The protestors said there was a need to initiate stern action against  Baba Ramdev for his comments. They also resented the failure of the Uttar Pradesh Government  to initiate any action against Baba. People should reject the governments which  fail to respect women. Religious institutions should take to the streets to condemn such statement, they said.

Mallesh Chunchanahalli, District Convenor of DSS, Srinivas Bambubazar, Organising Convenor,  Gangadhar, city unit Convenor, Dhanagalli Kiran Kumar, District President of Karnataka Dalita Vedike, Rajendra, Taluk General Secretary and others participated in the protest.
