Mangalore : “ The state government is in a state of coma. It is in existence not owing to its development agenda but owing to the disputes revolving around it,” alleged former minister CT Ravi.


Speaking to reporters at the District BJP Office on Saturday May 3, he charged the government of not initiating any measure to tackle the drought situation in over 140 taluks in the state. “The government has completely failed in redressing the problem. This is not just the allegation of the BJP, even the government has voiced the same concern,” Ravi said.
The state administration has gone off track owing to the cold war between officials and ministers, Ravi observed. He was also critical of state ministers H Anjaneya who renovated his Vidhana Saudha chamber and PWD minister HC Mahadevappa who renovated his house at a cost of Rs 2 cores and questioned the extravagance of the ministers.
Ravi was also critical of Youth Affairs Minister Abhayachandra Jain who is facing charges of threatening a journalist. On the Anna Bhagya scheme, he said the rice meant for distribution was entering the black market and alleged that even the officials were involved in the racket.
On the Chennai blast case, he alleged that the state home minister was ignoring the vital issue despite information that the accused had left to Chennai from Subrahmanya.
“Ravana Rajya in district”
Referring to the Brahmarakootlu toll gate issue, he said those involved in the case were close to the district minister Ramanatha Rao.He also alleged that there was a Ravana Rajya of the minister in the district. If such things continue then the BJP will have to embark on Ramanatha Rai Hatao agitation, he said.
