Mysore: The DG and IG of Police Lalrokhuma Pachau has ordered a Criminal Investigation Department (CID) inquiry into the controversy relating to former minister S A Ramdas and Premakumari Jadeda M, a government employee who claims to be his wife.

The CID probe has been ordered in accordance to the recommendation of Police Commissioner M A Saleem. The Commissioner has also confirmed that he received a letter of approval for a CID probe from the office of the DG and IG on Tuesday February 25.
It can be recalled here that Karnataka’s former BJP minister SA Ramdas had attempted to commit suicide by hanging in a guesthouse, about 150km from Bangalore after he learnt that a woman, who claimed that he married her recently, threatened to expose his relationship with audio and video evidence.The woman named Premkumari, in late 30s, had revealed that though she had known Ramdas since five years, they had come close in the recent past after he had promised to marry her and look after her, as she was a widow with two children from first marriage.
