Auto drivers strike hits normal life in Mysore

Mysore : The strike by  autorickshaw drivers in the city on January 6, Monday, in  protest against the Auto LPG price hike, has disrupted normal life.  With autos remaining off the roads, people who had arrived from far off places  by trains and buses had to remain stranded at the railway station and bus terminuses for long.

Thousands of autorickshaw drivers participated in a protest march from the railway station area upto the DC office. The 24 hour strike from January 6 midnight is being observed as per the call given by the United Action Committee of Autorickshaw Drivers Unions.

Protests were also held  at Ballal Circle and other places.

Meanwhile, the administration had arranged for special bus services  to various places including railway station to minimise the inconvenience caused to the public.
