Mysore : Members of the All India Democratic Youth and Students Organisation staged a protest against the Mysore  University decision to cancel the fee concession announced by the government. The protestors also condemned the university orders to pay the additional fee at the earliest.

The agitators who gathered outside the DC office shouted slogans against the University. They alleged that the University has even warned of  withholding the marks card and exam  hall ticket if the additional fee was not paid. As is the earlier rule BC(A) candidates who provided income certificates were offered fee concession  while the amount was reimbursed by the government. However, the University has now asked the student to pay the fee citing the reason that it has not received grant from the government.  However, protestors urged the government to withdraw the decision.

Chandrashekhar Meti, District President of the Organisation, B Ravi, Vice President and several others took part in the protest.
