After Amma Canteens in TN, Mobile Fish Curry Rice canteens in Mysore

Mysore :Five Mobile canteens that will serve Fish curry rice to the public are proposed to be launched by the Karnataka State Co-operative Fisheries Federation (KSCFF). This was disclosed at a press conference yesterday.

S. Madegowda, Director of KSCFF addressing the press conference,  said that the Central Government would finance 90% of the cost for the project through National Fisheries Development Board, Hyderabad, while the State Government would fund the remaining 10%. Each mobile canteen is expected to cost Rs: 20 Lakh.  A proposal in this regard will soon be submitted to the centre, he added. “The cost of the food is yet to be fixed, he said and added that mobile canteens have already been launched in the neighbouring Tamil Nadu and would be launched in Bangalore and Mysore soon,” he said.

On the subject of fish production,  Madegowda asaid that several programmes have been chalked out to increase fish production in the State due to increase in the demand for fish and added that KSCFF would open 100 new fish stores in the Bangalore-Mysore region.
