Simala, once a rising star in Bollywood, finds herself wearing a different uniform today. Her journey from the glitz and glamour of acting to the responsibilities of an IPS officer is nothing short of remarkable.
Growing up, Simala’s aspirations revolved around the world of cinema and dance. With a father entrenched in the civil services as an IAS officer, and a mother esteemed in the literary world as an author, Simala’s environment was rich with diverse influences.
Simala pursued her education in Bhopal, completing her schooling at St Joseph School and obtaining a degree in commerce followed by post-graduation in sociology from Barkatullah University. The idea of pursuing a career in the UPSC realm never crossed her mind during these formative years.
Her foray into acting brought her recognition through films like ‘Nakkasha’ and ‘Alif’. Simala’s portrayal of characters like Nimmi in ‘Alif’ and her role as a journalist in ‘Nakkash’ earned her accolades from both audiences and industry veterans alike.
Post her post-graduation, Simala’s path took an unexpected turn when she successfully cleared the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission examination on her first attempt. This achievement prompted her to consider the UPSC exam, a decision she made without the aid of coaching classes, relying solely on self-study and online resources.
Despite her success in the world of cinema, Simala chose to don the uniform of an IPS officer after clearing the UPSC exam on her maiden attempt. She now serves as an SP in the Betul district of Madhya Pradesh, embracing her newfound responsibilities with determination and dedication.
