Karkala: In an incident that has occurred at Nooral Bettu, a pregnant lady has committed suicide by jumping into a well at a farm nearby.

Jayashri (26) is the deceased. Having been 1 month and 8 days pregnant, it has been said that she used to suffer from lack of sleep. This, the locals believe is probably the cause for the drastic step, if not some other reason due to which she would have been depressed in order to take this decision.

A case has been registered at the Karkala Rural Police Station.
