Udupi: K. Annamalai, Superintendent of Police, has arranged tight security for the Samajotsava. A flag march was held in the district for the same on Sunday, March 8.
Flag march was led by SP and more than 100 Police officials also participated. SP said that the intension of flag march conducted is to assure confidence and make people of the region feel secure on the occasion.

SP said that police has made all necessary arrangements in the city. Six Deputy Superintendents of Police, 20 Circle Police Inspectors, 75 Sub Inspectors, 145 Assistant Sub Inspectors, 1,005 Head Constables/Police Constables, 48 Women Police Constables and 100 Home Guards are already in place.
A strike force of 15 units of Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP), 24 units of District Armed Reserve Police, the services of Quick Response Teams are also ready at the venue. More than 150 CCTV cameras have been installed and 22 check posts are operational in border areas of the district.
He added that the department is fully prepared to handle any situation. Sale on liquor is also banned from 6 am to 6 pm.
