Udupi : In yet another shocking case, a youth who had  lured a college student, had uploaded her  obscene photos on Facebook after she refused to give in to his demand for money for the second time. The accused has been identified as Mohammad Yasir from Katapady.

Reportedly, Mohammad Yasir got close with a girl of a renowned college and then lured her with his fake love. Accordingly it is learnt that he had made her consume a drink mixed with intoxicant and had then captured photographs with her in a compromising positions.

After this, Yasir started blackmailing her for  money and threatened  to post the pictures on social networking sites. Initially he had reportedly demanded Rs 3 lakh which the girl out of fear of disgrace,  somehow arranged the money with the help of her parents. But, later when he started demanding Rs 10 lakhs, the girl was unable to pay him and going by his words Yasir uploaded the photos on Facebook.

In the meantime, when the issue spread like wildfire, Yasir was in panic and  deleted the photographs. He has also gone missing.

On the other hand, Bhajrangdal activists gathered in front of the Udupi Police Station and demanded Yasir’s arrest, alleged that he was a part of a racket which targeted Hindu girls.
