Bantwal: A young Yakshagana artist died after the motorcycle he was riding was knocked down by a private bus in Bantwal on Thursday February 4.

The deceased is Vasanth Perla (26), an artist with the Kateel Kshetra Mela.

According to sources, Perla was travelling from Vittal to Bantwal when the bus hit him. Though he was rushed to the hospital, he died on the way.

Bantwal Traffic police have registered a case.
