Gurupura : A body of a girl was discovered at Phalguni River near the Gurupura Bridge by the locals on Wednesday July 9.

The deceased has been identified as 17-year-old Mallika Poojary, daughter of Marappa poojary. It is learnt that Malika was working at local store in the vicinity.

Sources say that  Malika jumped into the river on July 8, in the evening, however the reason for this is not yet known

A case of Unnatural Death Report has been registered in Bajpe police station and the police are investigating.
