Kasargod : Wild elephants have caused widespread destruction of crops in Partha Kochi area of Mulleria in the district.  The elephants have plundered  some fields in the area on June 8, Sunday night resulting in loss of crops worth several lakhs of rupees.

Locals say the wild elephants have been  creating havoc in Mulleria, Adoor areas since some time. The elephants were last seen about a month ago when they had ransacked fields. The latest incident has terrified farmers who have urged the forest authorities to take steps to end the menace.
