Mangaluru: Mangaluru north MLA Mohiuddin Bawa said today that when it comes to development any negotiation won’t be happening with anybody.

Commenting on road widening he said, “I’ve spoke to the Minister for Road Transport and Highways and Shipping Nitin Gadkari. He readily agreed to give permission to acquire the land which is needed for road widening. We won’t negotiate with any of the builders or shop owners.”
“On the occasion of the CM’s official visit to Mangaluru, he would be laying the foundation stone for the 4-5km long Suratkal to MRPL concrete road costing is Rs 45-50 crores. A new market at Surathkal is also on the cards. Its plan has been submitted to MCC and waiting for approval. A new swimming pool at the cost of Rs 1.50 crores will also be launched very soon,” he said.
Speaking on closing of beedi manufacturing he said, “The government should respond to the beedi workers problems immediately. We should stay away from tobacco products, but the government should not be taking any decisions in haste. I request the government officials to take care about this matter.”
Speaking about the attack on BJP party worker, he said that police has assured that they will arrest the accused within 24 hours. We should live peacefully in Mangaluru and there should not be any sort of violence.
