Mangalore : We will not give up our fight for justice in the Sowjanya case until a CBI enquiry is ordered, declared Prajaprabhutva Vedike leader Mahesh Shetty Timarody.

Addressing a protest meeting organised near Lalith Mahal, Mulki on November 2, Saturday by the Mulki Civic Forum, said the protestors will not be disheartened just because the CID report has given a clean chit to the accused. He charged the police of trying to shield the real culprits in the case.

Stating that there have been several suspicious death cases similar to Sowjanya case in Dharmasthala, none of them have been solved. He alleged that the ‘powerful’ forces in Dharmasthala have colluded with the culprits and the police to ensure that all cases are hushed up.

Sri Esha  Vittaldasa Swamiji of Kemar Sandeepani Ashram said the fight is for justice to Sowjanya and not against any individual or Kshetra.

Sowjanya’s mother Kusumavathi who also spoke  pointed out that they were being followed by some elements. She said their only aim was justice and also to see that none else suffered like them.

Civic Forum president Vinod Salian, Sowjanya’s father Chandappa Gowda were also present.
