Mangalore:The first ever two-day IT Expo organised at TV Raman Pai Hall in Mangalore, concluded on November 2, Saturday. The event organised by Mangalore IT Dealers’ Association was inaugurated on November 1, Friday by DV Sadananda Gowda, former chief minister. The Expo which displayed a wide array of IT related products attracted large crowds.
As many as 35 famous companies including HP, Toshiba, Intel, Nokia, Sony, Lenovo, Wipro, Airtel and Canon took part in the Expo and exhibited products including Laptops, smart phones, tablets, gaming devices, printers etc.
DVS who spoke on the occasion said Mangalore has registered significant progress in the IT sector. He also made an appeal to the Karnataka Government to implement the Chidanandamurthi Committee report on developing Kannada software for administrative purposes.
Kethan Chandran, President of Mangalore IT Dealers’ Association, Sujay Monteiro, Vice President, Arun Prabhu, Treasurer were among others present.
