Bantwal : Fresh violence was reported in Kalladka on Friday, April 11 right before the eyes of the Kerala military police and BSF personnel who were stationed following Thursday night’s clashes. Though the paramilitary forces had conducted a march-past in the town on Friday morning to instill confidence in the people, by afternoon the situation became tense.

It is leant, a group stoned two youth who were heading towards a mosque on the High School Road for their Friday prayers. As the two rushed towards the highway screaming, two groups once again resorted to stoning and hurling soda bottles at each other. The police later asked the locals to down their shutters.
As many as three cases were registered in connection with the violence. Section 144 has also been clamped in Kalladka for three days as a precautionary measure.
