VHP, Bhajrangdal protest against Derlakatte blackmail case

Mangalore : Hindu organisations including the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the Bhajrangdal convened a protest at Gurupur Kaikamba in the outskirts of  Mangalore on December 29, Sunday to condemn  the kidnap and blackmail of two medical students of a private   college at Derlakatte. The protestors demanded the strictest of punishment to the accused in the case.

Speaking at the meeting, Rajashekharananda Swamiji of Gurupur Vajradehi Mutt, said people are wondering why some are silent over the barbaric incident which took place at Derlakatte. He said severe protest will be held if the authorities failed to initiate stern action in the case.

Shivananda Mendon, VHP leader, while referring to official records which state that over 300 young women have gone missing from the district, questioned why the government was not initiating any action.

Satyajith Suratkal. State Convenor of Hindu Jagarana Vedike, Vishnu Kamath of VHP, Bhujanga Kulal of Bhajrangdal, Krishna Kompadavu and others were present.

A protest march was taken out from Kaikamba Marukatte to Kaikamba Junction.
