Kundapur:  An unidentified body of  a man was found  at Trasi beach on Tuesday May 27 evening. The age of the deceased is estimated to be 42. The body only had trousers on it and based on the rakhi found in the wrist of the person, it is presumed that he is a Hindu.

The body was first noticed by a few people who were having fun at the beach at around 7 pm.  Initially, people saw only two legs amid the heaps of boulders dumped nearby. Immediately the Gangolli police were informed and it took nearly an hour for the police personnel and 24X7 Helpline workers to extricate the body which was beneath the huge boulders.

Even a team of youth from Bhatkal who were at the beach to spend their evening, assisted the police personnel.
