Accident claims the life of a young engineer

Mulki: A bike-lorry accident near Bappanadu entrance claimed the life of a youth late night on Monday May 26 at Mulki.

The deceased has been identified as 25- year-old Roshan, who was an engineer by profession; he was the son of Harishchandra Hejamady, DySP of Mangalore fingerprint bureau (FPB).

The accident took place when a lorry transporting lemons from Bijapur was plying towards Mangalore. The vehicle rammed into Roshan’s Bullet bike hurling him off the road.

The injuries sustained by Roshan were severe and he succumbed to his wounds.

Roshan stayed near Kanchan Ice Plant. He studied at Mulki Narayana Guru English Medium School and then at Vijaya College. He then completed his engineering from Nitte and till last year worked at Akamai Technologies in Bangalore. Since last August, he was working as a senior engineer with another company in Bangalore.

Roshan had come home on leave. It is learnt that late on Monday night, he was riding with his friend Shravan Kumar from Mangalore to his residence in Hejamady when the accident took place.

A case has been registered a Mulki police station.
