Kasargod: Two teenagers lost their life in a tempo-two wheeler collision here near the National Highway Tuminadu checkpost in Manjeshwar. The deceased are Shihab (18) from Kanvatheertha in Kunjattur and Finan(19) from Kunjattur.
The incident occurred when a tempo van which is said to have been speeding, hit the boys’ two wheeler. Due to this, both of them were thrown on the road and before they could recover from the fall, a bus heading from Talapady to Kasargod ran over them, killing on the spot.

The tempo driver did not stop the vehicle even after seeing this and managed to escape the spot. Enraged locals then threw stones on the bus and situation was out of control for a few hours.

Manjeshwar police came to the spot and dispersed the crowd using lathi charge. After a while the situation was brought under control, it is said.

Manjeshwar police have registered a case in this regard.
