Sullia: Two persons were killed in a Lorry-car collision near Goonadka in Sampaje village on Mangaluru-Mysuru highway here on May 2.
Makbool(60) and Yusuf(45) from Kadanga in Virajpete are the deceased.

Makbool’s wife Sulekha and son Saleem have suffered serious injuries in the misahp.

The incident occured on Monday morning, when the family was heading to Mangaluru from Madikeri in a Omni car. The container lorry which was plying towards Madikeri rammed into their car killing Makbool and Yusuf on the spot. Sulekha and Saleem were immediately rushed to the Sullia hospital and then they were shifted to the Mangaluru hospital. The bodies were sent to Sullia for post-mortem.

The locals along with the police helped to shift the injured to the hospital.

Sullia police have registered a case in this regard.

Sullia Circle inspector Krishnayya, SI Chandrashekhar visited the spot and are further investigating.
