Mangaluru:  Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT) will organise an intra-collegiate project expo on Tuesday, May 3 and Wednesday, May 4 at the college campus in Valachil.

Vijaya Kumar N, senior Manger HRM, SLK software services Pvt ltd, Bengaluru will inaugurate the program.

Addressing a news conference, SIT Principal Dr Srinivas Mallya said that the expo will have 349 projects, of which 134 projects will be of the final year students.

The projects of students pursuing computer science, information science, electronics, mechanical, marine, automobile, aeronautical, MBA and other courses will be on display.

As many as 12 projects have been sponsored by K.S.C S.T Bengaluru and 1 projects from V.G.S.T.

As many as six projects will be given cash award of Rs 1 lakh in total.

He said that a project-High altitude wind  technology using kite, a revolution in Renewable energy generation project has already been awarded Gandhian Young technology innovation award by Rastrapathi Bhavan, New Delhi.

The event will be presided over by  CA A. Raghavendra Rao, Chancellor, Srinivas University Mangaluru.

Pro-Chancellor of the University A Srinivas Rao, Srinivas Group Director A Vijayalakshmi Rao, Secretary A Mitra S Rao (A shama Rao foundation , Managluru) will be the guests of honour.
