Kasaragod: Two ganja peddlers were arrested by Kerala Narcotic Cell officials here on Monday, July 25. The officials recovered ganja weighing three and half kilos.

B H Aziz (29) from Talakunnu Bedadka and Ibrahim Khalil (29) from Bekala are the arrested. Another accused Ummar Farooq from Bendichal managed to flee. The police have also seized the car used by the drug peddlers.

Based on credible information, Kasaragod sub-inspector Ranjith Ravichandran and Vidyanagar sub-inspector P Ajith carried out the operation. The ganja peddlers were heading towards Kasaragod from Kanhangad when the police stopped them. On checking, the police found ganja inside the car. It is learnt that they were planning to transport ganja abroad through a man who was at the airport.
