Mangalore : The screening of the ‘Nirel’ the first international Tulu film shot entirely in  the UAE was first at the Cinepolis at City Centre Mall on February 28, Friday. The function was inaugurated by Sumathi, mother of Shodhan Prasad, co-producer of the film.  The film was screened to a packed audience who were highly appreciative of the movie.

Producer Shodhan Prasad who spoke on the occasion, said the film  has been appreciated in the Gulf and hoped people of the district would contribute to its success by watching the film in theatres.

San Poojari, co-producer, Ranjith Bajpe, Director,  Deepthi Salian, Varuna Shetty, heroines of Nirel, Anoop Sagar, hero also addressed the audience and thanked everyone for arriving to watch the film.

Music director Abhishek SN,  Art Director Rajaneesh  Amin, Sachin Padil and  film crew and cast members were present at the ceremony. The songs of the film have been rendered by noted singers  Akshata Rao,  Shilpa, Abhishek, Pramod, Shivkumar and Harish Sherigar.

Nirel is based on ‘Nadu Naduve authored by Karthik Gowda who is also the screenplay writer for the movie.
