Bantwal: A truck loaded with gas cylinders hit an electric pole on NH 75 near Panemangalore and turned turtle on February 17, Monday. The accident created a chaos among the residents who suspected a gas leakage.

The collision made a loud sound as the cylinders rolled out of the vehicle, although the officials from the fire service department arrived immediately at the spot and made it clear that there was no leakage.

It is learnt the tuck driver was driving at  high speed resulting in the mishap. Later the cylinders were loaded into another truck and moved from the spot.
