Puttur : Traffic on the NH 48 has been disrupted near Addahole in Puttur taluk after a  gas tanker overturned on December 21, Saturday morning. There is no information of any casualties.

Fire tender vehicles from Bantwal, Puttur, Belthangady and Mangalore have been rushed to the spot. The incident reminded one of the gory gas tanker tragedy at Perne in Uppinangady a few months ago resulting in the death of several persons.

Over speeding by tanker drivers is said to be reason for many mishaps.
