Mangalore : The torrential rains lashed across the coastal district here on Sunday May 26 night.  The rains indeed brought relief to the people who were experiencing unbearable humidity since a few months.

The moderate rains coupled with lightning and thunder was reported in Puttur, Beltangady, Sullia, Subramanya, Bantwal, Mulky, Kateel across the Dakshina Kannada district.

Besides rains accompanied by gales were reported from Saligrama, Kota, Brahmavar, Karkal across Udupi district.
