Tension prevailed in B.C.Road-Kaikamba last Sunday

Bantwal: A gang of people broke into B.C.Road-Kaikamba office of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) last evening (Sunday May 26th). The gang assaulted four persons and also damaged the bus stop which was put up by the SDPI. There was huge crowd gathering at Kaikamba and stonning also took place. This created a lot of tension in the surrounding.


 
Locals informed the Bantwal police. The police rushed to the site immediately and took control over the situation. they also had to lati charge to quiet down the tension prevailing in that area.
 
The worker of SDPI named Issac was seriously injured and had to be admitted to a private hospital in Mangalore. The cause for this situation is said to be the election rivalry between the two groups and the recent attack on one of the Congress workers of the Kaikamba surroundings and the accused was a member of SDPI.
