Mangalore: “The entrepreneurship in India is extensive and we must enlighten and encourage them, we have an enormous energy within people, in our country and such constructive programs will help nurture these budding businessmen”, said Dr M Veerappa Moily, union minster for petroleum and natural gas on Sunday January 19, during the inauguration and brochure release of Magnet-2014.



He was addressing the gathering after the inauguration, Moily said, “The country is looking forward to great deeds, in various sectors in the market, delivering to which Rachana’s endeavor this year is to provide a platform for the up-coming businessmen which is truly commendable, and I express my full support to this instigation.”
“It is important to take advantage of such opportunities, rather than getting disintegrated, we as Indian must unite and explore the global market with higher integration. An entrepreneur must be promoted; we have immense qualified manpower and potential in the coastal region which should be uplifted”, he added.
With regards to the petroleum industry Moily said that there are might things to be achieved and a lot of development has been put forth in the petroleum industry. We are planning to instigate a petroleum complex; a 1000crore investment can be speculated. Moreover he added that 173 billion dollars petroleum products are imported today in the market but I assure you that till 2030, India will be petroleum liberated. Concluding his talk he quoted Albert Einstein and said, “I have no talent but I have the passion and enthusiasm to deliver.”
An initiative of Rachana, Magnet-2014 is an essential platform for Global business leaders, industrialists and Businessmen hailing particularly from Mangalore to seek opportunities in the global market. Origination of Magnet-2014 is made by Rachana to create a Rachana Venture Capital fund to provide need based venture capital to start up’s by first generation entrepreneurs and to establish the Rachana Industrial credit co-operative society to help existing entrepreneur to build and expand their business.
The initiative will organize a one-day convention and industrial products exhibition, Magnet-2014 on the April 6, 2014 at TMA Pai Hall, for which the Rachana world convention office and the release of its brochure was done today.
Rev. Msgr. Denis Prabhu, Vicar General of Diocese of Mangalore presided over the function whereas Ivan D’Souza, the president of Rachana delivered the welcome speech.
