Mangalore:The third Convocation of  Nitte University was held at the KS Hegde Auditorium at Derlakatte on September 14, Saturday.

Dr Mohandas, Vice Chancellor of Kerala University of Health Sciences,while delivering the convocation Address said doctors have not only the responsibility of safeguarding the health of the people but also that of the society. He also urged universities to encourage students to take up research.

N Vinay Hegde, Chancellor of Nitte University,awarded degrees to the medical graduates. He insisted the young medical graduates to try to excel in the medical field.

A total of 375 graduates in various medical disciplines received their degrees on the occasion.

Dr M Shantharam Shetty, Dean of Nitte University, Dr HV Sudhaker Nayak, Registrar,Dr Alka Kulkarni, Registrar (Evaluation), Rajashekhar, Staff Development Programme Director and others were present.
