Mangalore: In the demand to disinter and re-examine the corpse of one-and-a-half-year-old Sharika who died under mysterious circumstances at Sullia, as alleged in the act of human sacrifice has been brought into notice to SP Shantanu Sinha demanding justice.
On Friday November 29, Kemar Sri Esha Vittaldasa Swamiji submitted a memorandum to SP Shantanu Sinha. The memorandum stated the case had led to speculations that the child was subjected to human sacrifice for the sake of seeking hidden treasure in a forest in Sullia.
Moreover the memorandum said that the family is currently living in a state of fear; they hear sounds like people wandering close to the house. Red and green precious stones are said to be found in the area and a racket has been running to make out of these.
Kemar Swamiji urged the SP to conduct a post-mortem of the child’s body. He said, “Cases of a few unnatural deaths in the vicinity have also been reported and hence the police department should look into this matter very seriously. They must reopen the case and conduct a probe into this matter.”
SP Shantanu Sinha assured to respond to the memorandum.
As suspicions of human sacrifice in the name of seeking hidden treasure in the forests here continue to grow, especially after the mysterious death of one-and-a-half-year-old Sharika, daughter of Mohandas and Bhavani of Nadugallu who was found dead thirteen days after she went missing.
Her body was found on the river bed about one kilometer away from their house, with her head and hands chopped off. The parents suspected that the child might have been sacrificed for treasure. A 70-year-old man too was said to have been murdered for the hidden treasure, and altogether about five unnatural deaths were reported.
Kemar Swamiji had visited the families in the area and urged them to fight against those indulging in crimes in the name of black magic.
