Mangalore: The Popular Front of India (PFI) has denied the involvement of its members in the Attack on Journalist and has alleged that these allegations have been made to defame the organization.

Addressing to the press meet in the city the President of PFI Mangalore Zone, Athavulla Jokatte said, “Some of the people are trying to defame the organization and none of the attackers are a part of the organization.”

“The PFI is a socio-oriented organization and it does not support the moral policing by any individual or organization. The allegations are just to show to the society that like the Hindu organizations, the PFI also supports the moral policing”, he added.

Hence the organization urges the police to conduct the necessary investigation in this regard and take a stern action against the culprits.

PFI Puttur zone President Shafi Bellare, Belthangady zone President Hyder Neersal, Bantwal zone president Zakariah and others were present at the occasion.
