Sullia: The Sullia-Kolchar-Badadka road, which is an inter-state road, was inaugurated on Saturday.

Addressing the gathering Minister for Forest and Ecology and Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister B Ramanath Rai said that the road would pave way for strengthening ties between Karnataka and Kerala.
The development of the said road has been a longstanding demand of the locals living in the border area.
The project was chalked out under Karnataka government’s 50-54 projects and a sum of Rs 3 crore was release. The road measuring 1.8 km, which was not developed was taken up under the project.
The said road was developed in a matter of one month after clearance from the forest department.
The event was presided over by Sullia MLA Angara.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA Shakunthala Shetty among others were present.
