Store room gutted in accidental fire

Kasargod : An accidental fire gutted a store room constructed adjoining a house at Adoor Attanadi here on January 27, Monday evening.

Locals and fire service personnel who rushed to the spot extinguished the fire and prevented the fire from causing further damage. Around 5 quintals of arecanut, 2000 coconuts as well as valuable wood stocked to construct a new house, have been destroyed in the fire. The loss has been estimated at Rs 10 lakhs.
