State on high alert: M’lore airport, Udupi Krishna Mutt in hit list of ultras

Mangalore: Around 27 buildings, including government and private structures have  been listed to be facing terror threat in the State, informed Home Minister KJ George during the Legislative Assembly session  on Tuesday January 28.

Reportedly it is learnt that in Bangalore places such as Kempegowda International Airport, Infosys, Wipro, Forum Mall, Indian Institute of Science, Vikasa Soudha, High Court, Garuda Mall, Central Mall and Yeshwantpur railway stations and bus stands, Taj Group of Hotels, Kalasipalya bus stand, multinational companies of the US are in the hit list of ultras. In Mysore places such as Infosys, Wipro, Mysore Palace and other places are listed.

Among them other places such as Brindavan Gardens (KRS), Srirangapatna (Tipu Palace); in Mangalore Infosys, Wipro, Mangalore airport, Mangalore railway station; in Udupi Sri Krishna temple, in Bijapur Alamatti dam; in Karwar Kaiga nuclear plant and in Bellary Tungabhadra power plant.

The Internal Security Division (ISD), Counter-Intelligence Division in ISD has already been notified moreover the Centre for Counter Terrorism (CCT) are taking necessary security steps and the police security also has been stepped up at  prime locations, the Home Minister said.

Moreover he assured that security measures have been taken according to the intelligence report and have  been also reviewed by the chief secretary.
