Mangalore:The Department of Economics, St Aloysius College (Autonomous) Mangalore in association with Association of Mangalore University College Teachers-AMUCT (R), will organize a UGC Sponsored National Level Workshop  on September 24, 2013 in the P.G. Block of the College.

The Theme of the Workshop is “CHANGING CONTOURS OF INDIAN ECONOMY”. 

Prof. Jancy James, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Central University of Kerala, Kasargod will inaugurate the workshop at 10.00 am and deliver the Key Note Address. Rev. Fr Swebert D’Silva SJ, Principal, St Aloysius College will preside over the Workshop. 

Dr Muzaffar Assadi, Professor and Former Chairman, Dept of Studies in Political Science, University of Mysore,, Dr Mani K P, Professor and Former Chairman, Department of Economics, Dr John Mathai Centre Campus, Trichur, University of Calicut and Dr A. Narayana, Assistant Professor at the Law, Governance and Development Initiative (LGDI) of Bangalore-based Azim Premji University will be the resource persons.

The resource persons will address on the topics:”Political Economy of Agrarian Transformation”, “Infrastructure for Change: Status, Challenges and Options”  and “India’s Development Strategy: Continuity and Change” respectively.
